The GETFund Local Scholarship has been opened for eligible Ghanaian students pursuing undergraduate studies at any of the public tertiary institution in Ghana.

The Ghana Education Trust Fund ( GETFund ) is currently accepting applications for Undergraduate Local scholarships for the current Academic year. The effective opening date for applications is Wednesday, 20th January and closing date for applications is 5:00pm Wednesday, 10th February. Link to the Official release is attached below this page.

About GETFund Scholarship

Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is a Ghana government initiative to sponsor the education of Ghanaian students to study both locally and abroad for either their, Undergraduate , master’s or PhD degree.

The GETFund initiative was established by a law of Parliament, to support the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat with extra funding to help students who receives a scholarship. GETFund also supply educational institutions with educational resources.

  1. Applicants should ensure they meet the aforementioned requirements.
  2. Then submit the following documents Application letter ( Declaring intents ), Proof of Nationality, Copy of Admission letter, Fees Schedule.
  3. GETFund scholarship applications are to be submitted manually in person to the reception of any GETFund office near you.
  4. All correspondence will be done exclusively between the GETFund and you the scholarship applicant.
  5. Please be advised that scholarship applications shall be received at the GETFund reception ONLY for processing.

Who Can Apply For GET FUND Scholarship?

GETFund scholarship is for Ghanaian students only. A Ghanaian student, who is undertaking a first degree is eligible to apply for a GETFund Undergraduate Local scholarship. Where as Ghanaians with first degree are eligible to apply for a master’s or PhD degree scholarships both locally or to study in a foreign university.

The GETFund scholarship scholarship has no specific number of offers, interested applicants only have to apply on time when specific shcolarhip applications are open .

The GETFund scholarship is a full scholarship consisting of paid-tuition and other expenses like residential fees and others.
